2016 has been an important and strategic year for our company and we would like to share some news with you.
• We Increased the Space Allocated to Our Injection Molding Area by 50%.
This has given us the ability to have a dedicated molds rooms, with new industrial shelving, for both custom production for our clients, as well as for Mirage collection.
• We purchased a new 100% Electric Injection Machine.
Mirage has now 11 state-of-the-art injection machines that go from 85 to 150 tons and across a variety of materials, while making a positive impact on our environment.
• We invested in a New Set of Tumbling Equipment.
These state-of-the-art equipment from Germany will give Mirage the ability to increase the tumbling production by 75%, improving the quality of the process and also reducing the amount of waste created. This machinery set is linked to a special water cleaner that allow us to recycle and re-use the same water for several months without loss in quality. It is an investment that puts Mirage at the forefront of innovation in this area.
• We Purchased a New Refrigerator Equipment.
This machine uses an inverter engine which allows for significant reduction of usage of power.
• We Improved the Air Pressured System for each Machinery using Pressured Air.
This new investment also brings significant power usage reduction and delivers a much cleaner air to each machinery. The equipment is now located in a specifically-built new room.
• We Invested in a New Lens Edging Machine.
Available to the production process starting in November, this equipment is the most advanced machinery of its kind in the world in terms of quality and speed for lens edging.
• We Invested in a New Energy Efficient Roof.
The main buildings at Mirage now boast a new roof that improves energy consumption through its 18cm isolation thickness of Rockwool. This allows us to keep the buildings’ rooms temperature more constant during hot and cold weather, an improvement of 30%+ from previous state.
• We are switching to LED lighting.
As part of our commitment to continuously help the environment and become more energy efficient, Mirage is switching all lighting fixtures to LED, with 60% of the lights already switched.
